Arsenal Bounce Back to Premier League Top with Wolves Win

Ødegaard Stars as Gunners Secure 2-0 Victory

After a challenging week, Arsenal returned to the top of the Premier League with a convincing 2-0 victory over Wolves at Molineux. Martin Ødegaard shone for the Gunners, scoring the opening goal and playing a key role in the second.

First-Half Dominance

Arsenal dictated play from the start, with Ødegaard pulling the strings in midfield. In the 12th minute, the Norwegian international curled a sublime shot into the far corner from the edge of the box, giving Wolves goalkeeper José Sá no chance.

The Gunners doubled their lead just 15 minutes later. Ødegaard's incisive pass found Bukayo Saka on the left wing, who cut inside and expertly fired into the bottom corner. Wolves struggled to create clear-cut opportunities in the first half, with Arsenal's defense standing firm.

Second-Half Control

After the break, Wolves came out with renewed energy but Arsenal remained composed. Mikel Arteta's men controlled possession and limited Wolves to half-chances. Ødegaard continued to orchestrate the Gunners' attacks, linking up effectively with Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.

As the game wore on, Wolves pressed for an equalizer but Arsenal's defense held firm. William Saliba and Ben White were colossal at the back, snuffing out any danger. With minutes remaining, Fábio Vieira came close to adding a third for the Gunners but his shot sailed just wide.

Extended Lead

Arsenal's victory extends their lead at the top of the Premier League to four points. Manchester City, who defeated Brighton earlier in the day, will look to close the gap when they face Fulham on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Wolves remain in 19th place, three points from safety. Julen Lopetegui's side will need to find a way to improve their form if they want to avoid relegation.
